Dixie Precision is a growing CNC job shop serving heavy industrial customers. We are hiring an experienced Production Coordinator to manage and control the flow of work through our CNC shop.
This is a manufacturing operations and coordination role intended for a candidate with a strong machining background and manufacturing operations experience. You will work daily with CNC and manual machinists, job travelers, drawings, schedules, and inspections to keep jobs moving from order entry through delivery.
This is not an entry-level office role. Prior CNC machining experience in a job shop environment is required.

Key Responsibilities
· Convert quotes into sales orders and work orders
· Review mechanical drawings and specifications for machining requirements, tooling needs, and material callouts
· Build and maintain job travelers, routings, and work packets
· Release jobs into the shop and coordinate priorities with CNC lathe and CNC mill departments
· Track WIP, due dates, and bottlenecks across multiple active jobs
· Communicate directly with machinists, leads, and management to keep production aligned
· Prepare job packets, travelers, and delivery paperwork
· Print packing slips and delivery tickets
· Perform in-process and final inspections and document results
· Maintain accurate production and quality records in the ERP system
· Organized, detail-driven, and able to manage many jobs simultaneously
· Confident communicating with shop personnel and customers

· Prior lead, supervisor, coordinator, or shop support role
· ERP/MRP experience
· Experience coordinating schedules, due dates, or production flow
· Quality or inspection background
